An important fund for Nantucket Island, the Marla Ceely Lamb Cancer Fund helps defray the costs of transportation and lodging for patients who must travel off island for cancer treatments. For only a $10 suggested donation at the door, head to Faregrounds and enjoy auctions, raffles, music by Offshore Blues Band and light bites. 3. Nanpuppets Show

Bring the kiddos by Bookworks’ Children’s Room for a puppet show with some of Nantucket’s favorite furry friends! Combining education with entertainment, the Nanpuppets show creates an imaginative and playful environment for toddlers and young children all over the island.

Saturday, November 14 || 7 P.M. || The Atheneum

Join Theatre Workshop of Nantucket for an evening of presidential comedy at the Atheneum. David Mamet’s 2007 play, set in the Oval Office of the White House, depicts one November day in the life of incumbent President Charles Smith. Will President Smith’s turkey pardoning be enough to put him in the good graces of the American public? Come find out. Admission is free.

5. NHA Diversity Festival
Sunday, November 15 || 11 A.M. – 4 P.M. || The Whaling Museum

In celebration of Nantucket’s diverse cultures, the NHA will open the doors of the Whaling Museum for a one-day diversity festival, featuring tours offered in multiple languages (including Spanish, Portuguese, Bulgarian, Thai and English) and special refreshments! Admission is free so don’t miss your chance to check out the new exhibits.
