2. Sustainable Wines with “Flower Power” Tasting

4. Independent Bookstore Day

All Day @ Nantucket Bookworks and Mitchell’s

Mitchell’s got a make-over, local author Jim Sulzer will be signing copies of his new book Crisis The Card People 3 on Saturday April 27 from 10:30am – 12pm, special book gifts and book swag available only on the day. 5. 45th Annual Daffodil Festival Weekend Antique Car Parade
Saturday, April 27
5:30 – 7:00 pm @ Main Street and ‘Sconset

Saturday is the star of Daffodil Weekend, and it kicks off at 9:30 am on Main Street. Stroll around to see the cars before they head out to Sconset, and then, it’s tailgate time! Make your way to the east end of the Island to take in all the decorative tailgates set up along Main Street in Sconset. Don’t forget to wear your yellow! 6. 45th Annual Daffodil Festival Children’s Parade
Saturday, April 27
10:15 am @ Children’s Beach

If the car parade is for the adults, the Children’s Parade is the place to be for the 18 and under crowd. Kids will cruise by the water’s edge on their decorated bicycles, wagons, and skateboards. Parents, you’ll want to take pics of this! For more information, click here

 

7. 9th Annual Daffy Dog Parade
Saturday, April 27
12:30 pm @ Children’s Beach

We can’t forget about man’s best friend, can we? After the Children’s Parade, stick around for Fido’s time to shine. Prizes will be awarded for best decorated dog, but please remember to bring a leash for your furry friend. For more information, click here

 

8. Bearstronaut at Cisco Brewers
Saturday, April 27
3:00 – 7:00 pm @ Cisco Brewers

After they take the stage at the Flower Power Party on Friday night, follow Bearstronaut as they make their way to the Brewery! The band (who are regulars on Jimmy Kimmel Live!) is known for their synthpop style and groovy dance tunes. For more information on Bearstronaut, click here.  

 

9. Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical

When 8-year-old Lily Polkadot moves to the “Squares Only” small town of Rockaway, she has a difficult time fitting in at school. It isn’t long before her classmate Sky appreciates her differences and begins a friendship with the young brave girl. 10. Nantucket Daffodil 5K 
Sunday, April 28
9:00 am @ Codfish Park in ‘Sconset

Cap off the 45th Annual Daffodil Festival with this fun and short 5K run. Organized by the Nantucket Triathlon Club, this family-friendly race begins and ends in Codfish Park. $50 cash reward will be given to the first overall male and female finisher!
