1. Pop-Up Art Exhibit
Saturday, June 9
10:00 am – 3:00 pm @ White Elephant Village Ballroom

Come support the local art community and visit this one-day-only pop-up art exhibit hosted by the Artist Association of Nantucket in the White Elephant Village Ballroom. A handful of artists will be featured with the possibility of demonstrations or live art taking place. 2. NCF Comedy Show
Saturday, June 9
7:00 pm @ The Dreamland

Come out and laugh the night away at the Dreamland Theater! Host Joel Richardson and headlining comedians Mark Riccione and Richie Byrne will be on hand to entertain with their jokes and stand-up comedy routines. With resumes that include writing for SNL’s Weekend Update and appearances on Comedy Central, this trio is sure to have you splitting your sides with laughter. 3. Airport Day and Crosswinds Re-Opening
Sunday, June 10
9:00 am – 11:00 am @ Nantucket Memorial Airport

Nantucket may be the only place in the world where the airport restaurant is not a last-minute resort, but a culinary destination. After a few recent renovations, Crosswinds is reopening with all of its beloved menu items! While you’re there, check out some cool airport equipment during Airport day. 4. Natural Resources FUNdraiser
Sunday, June 10
12:00 – 3:00 pm @ Sandbar at Jetties Beach

On Sunday, June 10, the Sandbar at Jetties Beach is making conservation cool with the Natural Resources FUNdraiser. The event will educate and raise awareness of the various programs Natural Resources facilitates for preservation and conservation of the natural beauty and life on our far away island. All are welcome, and for the $20 door donation, each guest gets food and a t-shirt. Enjoy raffle and auction items, as well as fun activities for the kids! For more information, click here

 

5. 25th Annual Sam Sylvia Pro-Am Golf Tournament
Sunday, June 10 – Monday, June 11
10:30 am – 12:00 pm @ Sankaty Head Golf Club

Score a hole in one with charity and fun at The 25th Annual Sam Sylvia Pro-Am Golf Tournament. The opening cocktail party will take place on Sunday, June 10 at the Sankaty Head Golf Club and will include live and silent auctions. Be sure to catch the annual Golf Ball Drop, and then practice your backswing for the tournament the following morning on Monday, June 11. 6. AAN Plein Air Festival
Tuesday, June 12 – Sunday, June 17

The Artists Association of Nantucket will be hosting the seventh annual Plein Air Nantucket, a plein air painting festival. Running from Tuesday, June 12 — Sunday, June 17, the festival will conclude with a reception and presentation of the Frank Swift Chase Awards on Sunday, June 17, at 6 P.M. at the Cecelia Joyce & Seward Johnson Gallery. Plein Air Nantucket is open to all artists, at any skill level, who wish to paint in the fresh air and pristine scenery of the island, and enjoy the camaraderie of painting with peers. 7. 1st Annual Best of Nantucket Party
Wednesday, June 13
6:30 pm @ The Whaling Museum

Be the first to join the Inquirer and Mirror at the Nantucket Whaling Museum in celebration of the best of Nantucket. Enjoy live music from Nantucket’s own Foggy Roots band, as well as hors d’oeuvres from Nantucket Catering Company, beer from Cisco Brewers, wine from the Olmstead Wine Company and prizes featuring all things Nantucket. 8. A Nantucket Wedding: Nancy Thayer with Jimmy Jaksic
Thursday, June 14
3:30 pm @ Le Languedoc Restaurant

This year’s opening event for the Nantucket Book Festival is A Nantucket Wedding: a special evening honoring Nancy Thayer’s new novel. Toast the event with a special signature cocktail created by bar-tending expert Jimmy Jaksic, and enjoy a slice of scrumptious wedding cake baked by Kelly Badger. 9. Authors in Bars
Thursday, June 14
9:00 pm @ Breeze Restaurant

Books, bars, and banter: the perfect combination! The Nantucket Book Festival is organizing a meet and greet with a few highlighted authors from the festival. Guests will have a chance to enjoy a drink (or two) with the writers and get to know them in a casual setting. Admission is free, and more information is available here.

 

10. Rafael’s Marketplace 
Thursday, June 14 – Saturday, June 23
@ American Legion Hall

June 14th starts off the 10-day cash-and-carry shopping spree at Rafael’s MarketPlace in the American Legion Hall located at 21 Washington Street. Shop and browse through fine home furnishings, oriental carpets, art, lamps, jewelry and more. Open everyday between June 14th to the 23rd from 10am to 4pm. For more information, click here
