1. Nantucket by Design

By design, the NHA’s premier summer fundraiser will have you feeling right at home throughout the three-day festival. Celebrating the island’s unique influence on American design with engaging keynote speakers, unique discussions, a celebrity panel and more, Nantucket by Design never fails to delight even the most discerning of decorators. 2. Nantucket Summer Antiques Show

Whether you’re an antique collector or just looking for a vintage gem to complete a room at home, the Nantucket Summer Antiques Show will not disappoint. For over thirty years, the show has brought together a carefully curated selection of dealers from across the United States and abroad to exhibit their one-of-a-kind pieces. 3. Dreamland Stage Company presents Moana Jr. 
August 6 – 8
Nantucket Dreamland

We know everybody has a role on this island, and the Dreamland Stage Company’s role is to bring you a magical live performance of Disney’s Moana Jr. Fair warning though if you go with kids, there’s no telling how far they’ll go to see it again and again. 4. Nantucket Preservation Trust’s Annual August Fête
August 12

We want to let you in on a little secret: The theme for this year’s NPT Annual August Fête is “Secret Lanes & Hidden Ponds,” and it’s no mystery why it will be one of the summer’s most popular events. With the virtual house tours along Lily Street and secluded Gull Lane, small group walking tours of the Lily Pond neighborhood and a question-and-answer session with homeowners, we bet all kinds of Nantucket treasures will be revealed come August 12. 5. NiSHA Plein Air Botanical Watercolor & Ink Class with Meredith Hanson
August 13 at 9:00 am & 12:00 pm

Paint for the pups! And the cats, of course. This August, Nantucket watercolor artist Meredith Hanson will be teaching two private instructional watercolor classes to benefit the Nantucket Island Safe Harbor for Animals. 6. Theatre Workshop of Nantucket Benefit
August 15 at 7:00 – 11:00 pm
Great Harbor Yacht Club

Disco darlings, get ready to hit the dance floor, because TWN’s 65th anniversary celebration is Studio 54-themed—Studio “65,” if you will. This fabulous fundraiser will feature fantastic performances, cocktails and, of course, plenty of dancing. Sequins and ’70s outfits encouraged. For tickets and more information, click here.

 

7. NBF Presents Cocktails, Conversation, and Couture with Elin Hilderbrand & Jennifer Weiner
August 19 at 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Nantucket Hotel

Of all the events coming back this summer, this one is truly for the books. Presented by the Nantucket Book Festival and hosted by Boston television personality Jenny Johnson, this unique evening will combine festive libations and incredible fashions from local shops with the signature fun of authors Elin Hilderbrand and Jennifer Weiner. 8. Tim Russert Summer Groove
August 21
Nantucket Boys & Girls Club and Various Locations

The NBGC is back in the groove with the return of its uber-popular Tim Russert Summer Groove— now in its 20th year. The famous fundraiser for Nantucket kids has been reimagined for 2021 with a series of intimate gatherings at various locations on Nantucket, plus a Mini Groove at the NBGC. 9. Opera House Cup
August 22

Ahoy! It’s time to unfurl the sails and raise the main to set sail in the 49th Opera House Cup. A cherished tradition, the Opera House Cup was the first all-wooden, single-hulled classic boat regatta on the East Coast. Landlubbers will also enjoy watching the exciting race from the shores. 10. Dawes Concerts
August 24 and 25 at 10:00 pm
The Chicken Box

Brothers Taylor and Griffin Goldsmith and their merry band of music makers, collectively known as Dawes, are headed to the Box for the first time ever this August. They’re bringing their popular folk sound and hits like “Things Happen” and “When My Time Comes,” so these two performances will surely be sold out in no time.
