According to Best of New Orleans, Stooges Brass Band “puts on one of the most entertaining, audience-interactive shows of any band on the scene.” Their song “Wind It Up” was also recently featured on the soundtrack of Will Smith’s film “FOCUS.”
2. Wallpaper Design Discussion
Friday, June 12 || 5 – 7 P.M. || Nantucket Atheneum
Wallpaper is making a major comeback, so join Nantucket designers Audrey Sterk Design and Melanie Gowen Design, master wallpaper hanger and historic preservationist Tom Ayars, and special guest interior designer Gary McBournie for a design panel discussing the historical origins and modern day applications of wallpaper. Event in honor of Nantucket Preservation Month.
3. In the Art of the Sea Gallery Reception

Stop by the Artists Association of Nantucket’s “In the Art of the Sea” exhibition opening reception and celebrate Nantucket’s marine + maritime beauty, as portrayed by the local talent!
4. Access Nantucket’s First Annual Bike Nantucket

Time to get those pedals cranking! Access Nantucket is promoting health and wellness with this fun and family-friendly event. Open to cyclists of all ages and skill levels with 10, 16, 32 and 50-mile ride options!
5. Jetties Party
Saturday, June 13 || 6 P.M. || The Jetties
The Jetties will be opening FULL TIME for lunch + dinner starting this Saturday, and to kick off the season they will have Boston country-folk duo Dear June playing live from 6 – 9 P.M. We think there are few spots on island that are better for sunset-watching!
6. Beauty & the Beach Fashion Show

Sun, sand, models and cocktails. Need we say more? The 3rd Annual Beauty & the Beach Fashion Show presented by Galley Beach, Nantucket blACKbook, David M. Handy Events, and RJ Miller Salon will benefit the Nantucket New School. Enjoy you champagne and watch some of Nantucket’s luxe boutiques showcase their favorite looks for 2015!
7. National Lobster Day

8. 4th Annual Oystahfest

10. The Movement

Alternative reggae-rock-hip hop band The Movement will swing through Nantucket for two nights only. You’ll want to go give this band a listen — they’ve opened for such acts as G. Love & Special Sauce, Common, Slightly Stoopid, Ludacris and 311.
