Kick off your weekend and celebrate the opening of the Artists Association of Nantucket’s Summer Small Works. Nantucket artists will be displaying small pieces no larger than 11″ x 14″. The exhibition will run until August 1, Monday – Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM, but don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate with the artists themselves and toast the summer.

6:30 A.M. @ Jetties Beach

They say once you learn how to ride a bike, you’ll never have to learn again… but what about swimming, biking, and running one right after the other? Come out to Jetties Beach and support triathletes from Nantucket and beyond. Swimmers will begin the race at Jetties, cycle over to Madaket, then finish on their feet back to Jetties. If you see anyone on the move, give them a round of applause… they deserve it!

Leap into summer with the Nantucket Atheneum’s 9th annual Dance Festival. After a week of free ballet-related events, the Dance Festival’s finale is two ballet performances by some of the best dancers and choreographers in the world. The second annual Nantucket Garden Harvest to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will take place at the Nantucket Dreamland Theatre.
