2. Artistic License Exhibition

In celebration of Daffodil Weekend and spring arriving on Nantucket, the Artists Association of Nantucket presents the opening of their Artistic License exhibition and kicking off with a special reception. The show will focus on bold new ideas and work that is considered “outside the box” and outside of the artists’ comfort zones.
3. Small Works Big Cause

5:30 – 7:30 P.M. @ The Handlebar Café
For the second year in a row, the Photographers Alliance of Nantucket is coming together to present a small works photography exhibit. All photos will be for sale and proceeds will go to benefit the Marla Lamb Fund. Can’t make the opening reception? The work will be up and for sale through May 13th.
4. Daffodil Car Parade

5. Nantucket Coloring Book Release Party & Book Signing

10 A.M. – 12 P.M. @ Mitchell’s Book Corner
Adult coloring books are all the craze, and Nantucket is getting in on the action! Join creators Scott Widmeyer and Alan Yount as they release Color Me Nantucket – Nantucket’s first ever adult coloring book. Artists Paul McCarthy and Jean Petty from Nantucket Carving & Folk Art will be on hand to sign your book and celebrate with you on this most “Nantucket” of weekends.
6. Daffodil Flower Show
Saturday, April 30
2 P.M. – 5 P.M. @ Bartlett’s Farm
The Nantucket Garden Club is digging into spring with a budding new theme for their annual Daffy flower show, “Streets and Lanes of Nantucket.” Held at Bartlett’s Farm, the show will highlight a vast variety of daffodils and will continue on Sunday, May 1 from 10 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. 7. August Watters & Friends

6 – 7:30 P.M. @ Nantucket Community Music Center, 56 Centre Street
Mandolin performer and Berklee School of Music faculty member August Watters will play a program of classical and bluegrass music in the parlor of the Nantucket Community Music Center. Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased here.
8. Daffodil 5k
Sunday, May 1
7 A.M. in ‘Sconset
Why not start your spring off on the right foot by running in a 5k set around ‘Sconset? Starting at 7 A.M., the race will snake through scenic ‘Sconset Village and could earn you fifty bucks if you come in first! For more info, click here.
9. Supta & Souping
Tuesday, May 3
6 – 7:30 P.M. @ Supta Yoga, 9 Amelia Drive
Enjoy a yoga class with Supta Yoga followed by a souping chat with Annye and Mandy of Annye’s Whole Foods. They’ll be discussing the benefits of “souping” and other cleanses, as well as sampling the variety of delicious to-go soups available at Annye’s (and giving out coupons!)
10. Flashback Film: Top Gun
