2. The Harvey Foundation Open Golf Tournament

Play a round of golf “fore” charity during the Harvey Foundation Open Golf Tournament! All proceeds will go to the Foundation, supporting efforts in the community including great scholarship offerings for kids. The tournament includes a shotgun start and foursome scramble play. 3. Nantucket LGTBQIA+ Community and Allies’ Pride Parade

1:00 pm – 2:00 pm @ Children’s Beach
Embrace Pride month and bring attention to the LGBTQIA+ community by attending the first annual Nantucket Pride Rally and March! This celebration of Pride will include speeches, activities, and a community march, with no hate allowed. Wear your rainbow gear, have fun, get creative and inspire others. 4. Small Friends 2nd Annual 5K Fun Run

On your mark, get set, run! Small Friends is hosting its 2nd annual 5k Fun Run, raising money for the Small Friends organization and supporting on-island families and children in need. 5. NBF Closing Event – Malcolm Mitchell: Reading to Win with Robert Cocuzzo

The 2018 Nantucket Book Festival will host award-winning children’s book author Malcolm Mitchell in conversation with N Magazine editor Robert Cocuzzo. Mitchell, a wide receiver for the New England Patriots and founder of the Share the Magic Foundation for youth literacy, will share his inspiration and passion for writing and the mission of the Foundation. 7. Nantucket Film Festival: Live Taping of NPR’s Ask Me Another

Featuring a program of groundbreaking composers, three innovative members of the Nantucket Music Center faculty will break some new ground together. Mollie Glazer, cello; Jennifer Maxwell, piano; and Jordan Delphos, violin, will inaugurate the new NMC Faculty Salon concert series with a program featuring composers Charlie Chaplin, Astor Piazzolla, and George Gershwin.
