It’s your last chance to catch the Theatre Workshop of Nantucket and the Nantucket Historical Association’s production of “Twelve Angry Women,” a staged reading based on Reginald Rose’s iconic courtroom drama “Twelve Angry Men.” Revolving around the deliberation of a female jury over a homicide trial, “Twelve Angry Women” chronicles the journey from agreement to chaos through the introduction of reasonable doubt. 2. 2015 Manhattan Short Film Festival

The 18th annual Manhattan Short Film Festival is coming to Nantucket! Join more than 100,000 film lovers in over 250 cities across six continents who will gather in cinemas, museums and universities to view and vote for short films from around the world! 3. TNP: A Celebration of Ideas in Film

Didn’t buy a pass to The Nantucket Project this year? No problem! Head to the Dreamland and enjoy a series of short idea films created by a number of Award-winning directors and inspired by talks delivered at The Nantucket Project. Through documentary, animation, and poetry, these shorts will take you from Africa to Japan to the corridors of power in Washington, D.C. The series will challenge your perspectives and invite you to see the world in a new way! This event is FREE but advance tickets are required. Reserve yours here.
4. Nantucket Blues BBQ

Great music, great food, great company. That’s what you can expect at the 2nd annual Nantucket Blues BBQ! Get your tickets online in advance here or pay $55 at the gate.
5. Shuck It for Nantucket
Sunday, September 27 || 1 – 5 P.M. || CRU
Join the Nantucket blACKbook, CRU Oyster Bar, and the Nantucket Natural Resources Department for a Sunday Funday for a good cause as they raise awareness for and benefit the Nantucket Oyster Shell Recycling Program. So head over to CRU, enjoy some of the ocean’s finest oysters, tunes from DJ Pete Ahern, and Cisco’s 5th Bend Oyster Stout!
6. Nantucket Restaurant Week

9. Recreational Bay Scalloping Season Begins

Grab your waders, rake, and basket and hit the bay to collect some of Nantucket’s most prized natural delicacies! Family scalloping season kicks off on October 1st and you have exactly one month before the commercial scallopers join in the fun. P.S. Don’t forget to get your license!
