3. TWN Presents: Relatively Speaking
April 2, 7 P.M., Bennett Hall

It’s closing weekend for Theatre Workshops’ hilarious production of “Relatively Speaking,” a Broadway anthology consisting of three short plays by Ethan Coen, Woody Allen and Elaine May. Shows are Friday and Saturday at 7 P.M. and Sunday at 3 P.M. Get ready for some laughs and get your tickets here.

April 2, 8 P.M., Loines Observatory (59 Milk Street)

The stars aligned for this fantastic island event hosted by the Maria Mitchell Association. Join MMA and twenty visiting amateur astronomers from the Amateur Telescope Makers of Boston as they look to the skies for an evening of family fun under the stars. This event is free and open to the public. All you need to bring is your curiosity and desire to learn!

April 7, 12 – 1 P.M., The Whaling Museum

This week’s Food for Thought features the Nantucket Dreamland Theater’s newly-selected Executive Director, Joe Hale. Come by and hear Hale address future plans and programming for the Dreamland! Hale brings decades of experience and expertise in both the private and nonprofit sectors, including his work as a Trustee of our very own Theatre Workshop, the Community Foundation for Nantucket, the Egan Maritime Institute, the Sconset Trust and many more. No tickets necessary.

6. Stand Up & Learn Kids’ Comedy Show
April 9, 5 P.M., The Dreamland

Student participants of the Nantucket Comedy Festival’s Stand Up & Learn Winter Workshop (going on April 7 – 9) will put on a special comedy performance to cap off their weekend of humor. Tickets are FREE but must be reserved online here or at the Dreamland’s Box Office.

7. NHS Spanish Club Dinner
April 9, Arrive 6 – 8 P.M., Nantucket High School Cafeteria

Four courses of freshly prepared gourmet cuisine with table service? Ay caramba! The Nantucket High School Spanish Club will host its 22nd annual dinner where guests will enjoy delicious bites from the Spanish-speaking world, latin music with live dancers, a silent auction and more. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased from any Spanish Club member or by calling 774-236-9643.

8. Casino Night
April 9, 7 P.M., Great Harbor Yacht Club

Join the Montessori Children’s House of Nantucket for a night of Vegas-style games and entertainment at the Great Harbor Yacht Club! $100 tickets include game chips and food catered by Le Languedoc and Siam to Go, and a cash bar will be open. So stop by and test your luck all while supporting a great local school!

10. Daffodil Dinner at the Farm
April 30, 6 – 8:30 P.M., Bartlett’s Farm

To celebrate the 42nd annual Nantucket Daffodil Flower Show, Bartlett’s Farm will be hosting a special four-course family-style dinner at the farm.
