Michelle Lemaitre was born with the eyes and soul of an artist, painting, sculpting, drawing and expressing her connection to our world with images she created through the medium that completely captured her imagination with its alchemy of light: photography. With vibrant, textured hues or the flash of a single, familiar form, suddenly we are on a journey to discover the beauty in the ordinary.
Michele, an award winning photographer, was named Overall Winner in the “People’s Choice Exhibition” as well as Best in Show for “In the Art of the Sea Exhibition” at the Cecelia & Seward Johnson Gallery of Nantucket. She has been represented by The Gallery at Four India Street and is currently represented by The Artist’s Association of Nantucket. Michele is also a member of PAN (the Photographers Alliance of Nantucket). She has exhibited at the Nantucket Memorial Airport with Solo Artist Installations, The Gallery at The Handlebar Café, Emerging Artists Exhibit at AAN, Artists Open Exhibition and the Cellography Exhibition with AAN, and has been featured in publications including Nantucket Land Council, Inc., Inquirer & Mirror Restaurant Guide, Wedding Magazine and Cuisine Magazine.
