Tucked behind the unique, trendy active-wear shop of the same name, you’ll find Core’s Pilates studio. With professional Pilates trainers at the ready to help you feel your best, you can sign up for a private session or a group class with friends. Try one of their machines on for size, such as the Reformer, Cadillac, Tower or Chair. With over eighty clients throughout the summer, many of whom have been going to the studio for up to ten years, Core has blossomed into a hub of island fitness activity. Owner Courtney McKechnie opened Core with the intent to keep her clients healthy through stretching while enabling them to maintain their other physical activities. Formally known as Go Figure Barre Studios, this fitness studio takes their barre class (a combination of strength training and classical ballet technique) from the building to the beach on their mobile studio, known as the Barre Bus.
