1. Cranberry Cook-Off

2. Rafael Osona Auction

Get your wallets and paddles ready! Osona Auctions is back for its second-to-last auction of the year. Featuring a wide range of antiques including furniture, flatware, art, and one-of-a-kind Nantucket finds, this auction is sure to delight collectors new and old. 3. Nantucket Shorts Festival
Saturday, October 12
4:00 pm @ The Dreamland

Don’t be fooled by its name – this film festival isn’t about cropped pants. Head to the Dreamland on Saturday evening for a night of short films inspired by Nantucket. This event is sure to be short and sweet! For more information, click here.

 

4. Nantucket Half Marathon
Sunday, October 13
8:00 am @ Nantucket Lighthouse School

Take a jog into Columbus Day Weekend with the 8th annual Nantucket Half Marathon! The race begins and ends at the Nantucket Lighthouse School, with food and drink waiting for runners at the finish line. For more information and to purchase your packet for the race, click here.

 

5. Nantucket Cranberry Festival
Sunday, October 13
11:00 am – 4:00 pm @ Milestone Cranberry Bogs

Be sure you’re not bogged down with too many errands on Sunday – you’re going to want to attend this fun-filled day! The Nantucket Conservation Foundation’s annual festival features live music, cranberry bog tours, and tons of activities for the kids like sack races, hayrides, and face painting. Food will be catered by a berry bunch of locations including B-ACK Yard BBQ, Bartlett’s Farm, and Wicked Island Bakery. For more information, click here.

 

6. Cobblestones & Cranberries

Shopaholics: this one’s for you. The Nantucket Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Business Association have teamed up to create a new shopping event encouraging islanders and visitors to #ShopLocal. All you have to do is shop at participating stores, and check back at the end of the day to see if you’ve won one of the grand prizes! 7. Sankaty Head Lighthouse Open Day

11:00 am – 2:00 pm @ Sankaty Head Lighthouse

For one day only this fall, the ‘Sconset Trust will be opening Sankaty Head Lighthouse for tours. Be prepared to climb to the top and see a whole different view of Nantucket’s eastern landscape. 8. A Taste of Autumn Harvest: Preparing a Vegan Brunch

Get your daily dose of veggies in a new way this Monday! Chef Lauren D’Agostino will guide class participants in cooking a healthy, plant-based brunch meal.
