2. Nantucket Summer Antiques Show

Hosted at the Nantucket Boys and Girls Club, the show will feature over thirty hand-picked fine antique dealers from the US and Europe to support three charitable organizations on Nantucket. This year, the Antiques Council has chosen to benefit the Nantucket Preservation Trust, the Community Foundation for Nantucket, and the Nantucket Garden Club Scholarship Program through a series of events highlighting the rich history and design of Nantucket. 3. Boston Pops on Nantucket
Saturday, August 12
7 P.M. @ Jetties Beach

This week, The Beach Boys will join conductor Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops for a celebration of music, dancing, and fireworks located on Jetties Beach. 4. Nantucket Race Week Kicks Off
Saturday, August 12

Join the fleet and set sail into nine days of regattas, celebrations, and award ceremonies for the annual Nantucket Race Week. Hosted by the Nantucket Yacht Club and the Great Harbor Yacht Club, NRW benefits Nantucket Community Sailing, a non-profit committed to providing affordable access to sailing and watersports to the island. 5. Jimmy Tingle: Humor of Humanity

This Monday, top comedian Jimmy Tingle will be raising spirits to raise awareness at Humor for Humanity, an enterprise dedicated to using entertainment as a vehicle for social change. Hosted at the White Heron Theatre, this cheerfully energetic performance will benefit A Safe Place, an agency providing free services for survivors of domestic violence. 6. Moby Dick Rehearsed

For three nights only, the NHA and Theatre Workshop of Nantucket are pleased to present the one-act play “Moby Dick Rehearsed”. The story is a play within a play written by Orson Welles in 1950 as a testimony of the enduring legacy of Herman Melville’s masterpiece of American literature that has remained timeless for years.
