2. “Real Fit Kitchen” Book Signing
Friday, November 27, 10:30 A.M. – 12 P.M., Nantucket Bookworks

After stuffing your stomach this Thanksgiving, this healthy eating and healthy living cookbook could be just what you need! Kate Weiler, the co-author of “Real Fit Kitchen” and co-founder of the “Drink Maple” beverage, will be at Bookworks signing her new book and doling out maple water and ackfresh juice samples.

3. Lighting of the Trees
Friday, November 27, 5 P.M., Top of Main Street

Few places epitomize the holiday spirit better than downtown Nantucket. Be there when the Chamber of Commerce flips the switch on 100 Christmas trees lining our cobblestone streets. Beginning at dusk, the Nantucket High School Choir will gather around the massive tree at the head of Main Street to sing carols and really set the scene!

4. Holiday Small Works Reception
Friday, November 27, 5:30 – 7:30 P.M., Cecilia Joyce & Seward Johnson Gallery

The Artists Association of Nantucket’s annual holiday show will kick off this weekend with a special reception highlighting this exquisite exhibition! From oil paintings to watercolors, photographs to ceramics, all artwork is 11×14 or smaller, making for perfectly sized gifts for all on your holiday shopping list.

5. Small Business Saturday

Small Business Saturday started in 2010 to help bring attention to and encourage shopping at community small businesses. Here on Nantucket, we have no shortage of incredible small businesses, so hit the cobblestone streets and support your local shop owners (while getting your holiday shopping done at the same time!)

10. Festival of Trees Preview Party
Thursday, December 3, 6 P.M., The Whaling Museum

When it comes to trimming the trees, there’s no greater display of creativity and craftsmanship than at the Nantucket Historical Association’s annual Festival of Trees. The annual preview party is a must, but if you can’t make it, the exhibit will be open through the month of December.
