4. Opening Weekend: The Cocktail Hour

Described by The New York Times as an exploration of “an over-privileged family” fighting domestic battles “while downing drinks,” the Theatre Workshop’s production The Cocktail Hour is sure to have you rolling on the floor with laughter. 5. Tig Notaro

Couldn’t snag a ticket to the Nantucket Project to hear Tig Notaro speak? You’re in luck, because she’ll be performing a live stand-up routine at the Dreamland on Saturday night. 6. Author Talk: Celeste-Marie Bernier

Frederick Douglass has a deep history here on Nantucket, and who better to talk about it than author of Picturing Frederick Douglass: An Illustrated Biography of the Nineteenth Century’s Most Photographed American Celeste-Marie Bernier. 7. Ethan Parker Band
Monday, September 17

Cisco Brewers gets a touch of southern charm this Monday when the Ethan Parker Band comes to visit. Known for their unique blend of Tennessee folk and rootsy Caribbean jazz, you’ll be in heaven listening to their jams with a Figawi Wowie in hand. 8. Annual Chef’s Dinner
Monday, September 17
6:00 – 9:00 pm @ Nantucket Yacht Club

Do good and eat well at the Annual Chef’s Dinner! Benefitting Nantucket Food Fuel and Rental Assistance’s (NFFRA) programs, this feast will delight the senses while helping out some of Nantucket’s most in-need community members. This year the fundraiser will focus on the Nantucket Food Pantry, and the delicious dinner will be prepared by Nantucket Yacht Club’s Chef Chris Freeman. 9. Film For Thought: Studio 54
