Friday, June 26 || 5 P.M. || Dreamland Theater
Acclaimed screenwriter and recipient of this year’s NFF Screenwriters Tribute, Robert Towne, will sit down with long-time summer resident and host of MSNBC’s Hardball, Chris Matthews. 2. Oath Craft Pizza Grand Opening Celebration
Friday, June 26 || All Day || Oath Craft Pizza
Oath Craft Pizza has been satisfying stomachs on Nantucket ever since they opened over Figawi Weekend last month. And this Friday, they’re hosting a day-long Grand Opening Celebration full of, you guessed it, free pizza samples! And what’s more, all profits made on the 26th will go to benefit the Boys & Girls Club building project!

Friday, June 26 || 8 P.M. || Sconset Casino
NPR’s Ophira Eisenberg is back again to host Late Night Storytelling, an evening of 5-minute curated (and often hilarious) stories told by local Islanders and festival guests alike, and one of NFF’s most anticipated events each and every year. This year’s theme? Fact or Fiction. Will you be telling your story?

4. NFF: Women Behind the Words
Saturday, June 27 || 1 P.M. || Dreamland Theater
Join NFF for a candid look at the state of women in the film industry today. Trailblazers in front of and behind the camera, as well as cultural commentators including a network CEO, an accomplished actress, a veteran entertainment journalist, and a specialist in media gender representation, will share stories about their experiences in Hollywood and discuss the challenges to achieving gender parity at studios, in independent and mainstream films, and in television.

Saturday, June 27 || 6:30 P.M. || Sconset Casino
“Forget it, Jake. It’s Chinatown.” Sound familiar? This iconic line from the film Chinatown was written by none other than this year’s NFF Screenwriters Tribute honoree Robert Towne. Join NFF at the Sconset Casino as they honor this legend and pay tribute to Beau Willimon, Liz Garbus, Leslye Headland, and Bob & Suzanne Wright.

6. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes
Sunday, June 28 || 10 A.M. || Children’s Beach
A benefit for Nantucket’s A Safe Place, this important community event raises awareness about violence against women by asking men + boys to literally walk a mile in women’s (high heeled) shoes. If you haven’t yet, there is still time to register to walk or make a donation!

Screen Shot 2015-06-23 at 1.59.15 PM7. NFF: Closing Night Film, Best of Enemies
Sunday, June 28 || 6:30 P.M. || High School
Join Director/Producer Robert Gordon for Nantucket Film Festival’s Closing Night Film, Best of Enemies. This film chronicles William F. Buckley, Jr. and Gore Vidal as they engage in a series of live, televised debates during the Democratic and Republican conventions of 1968. The fascinating exploration of these larger-than-life personalities opens a window into a time in American society before round-the-clock, partisan television news, a time when audiences were unable to avoid opinions that conflicted with their own and instead had to engage in—and perhaps be influenced by—a shared discourse of ideas.

8. BLADE on ACK
Friday, June 26 + Saturday, June 27
To celebrate the brand new launch of BLADE Nantucket, the BLADE team will be on island this weekend spreading the good news: direct flights from Midtown Manhattan to Nantucket! Join them (and The Sail Loft) at 10 P.M. on Friday night at the Nautilus where attendees will get $100 off their first BLADE flight, and from 6 – 8 P.M. on Saturday night at Grey Lady where attendees will sip on a free BLADE cocktail with the download of their app.

Screen Shot 2015-06-23 at 2.00.27 PM9. TWN’s Beytrayal
Wednesday, July 1 || 7:30 P.M. || Centre Stage
Betrayal spins a complex web of lies and deceit over a seven-year extramarital affair. Emma is enmeshed in a love triangle with her husband Robert and his best friend Jerry. But who is betraying whom? Pinter’s use of reverse chronology shakes up conventional dramatic form.

10. The Nantucket Collection Preview Party
Saturday, June 29 || 3 – 5 P.M. || Anderson’s
Join Anderson’s Nantucket and Caskata from 3 – 5 P.M. for a preview party, complete with refreshments and raffles, of Caskata’s new line of artisanal dishwear, “The Nantucket Collection.” BONUS: Caskata owner/designer is Nantucket’s own Shawn Laughlin! To check out the new collection, click here.
