This year the Nantucket Film Festival will bestow their highest honor on Leslie Dixon, who has written some of the seminal comedies of our time including Mrs. Doubtfire, Overboard, and Freaky Friday. The Nantucket Preservation Trust is known for their thought-provoking annual Symposium, but this year, they are taking it to the next level. In partnership with the Newport Restoration Foundation, this year’s Symposium focuses on the threat of sea level rise to our community and is part of a larger group of five conferences around the country. It’s no mystery why The Hound of the Baskervilles will be a hit at the White Heron Theatre this summer. The British comedy is based on the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Sherlock Holmes series, features a supernatural canine, and the dynamic duo of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. Fun for all ages!
