1. Irish Rambles: Ceili On!

Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, celebrate Irish culture on Nantucket with a free day of family fun at The Muse, complete with Irish dance instruction and music.
2. Community Dinner
March 8, 6 P.M., American Legion Hall
Nantucket locals will gather for a free community dinner and enjoy a beautiful meal served by their friends and neighbors. All are welcome and volunteers are always needed (sign up here).
3. Flashback Film Series: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
March 8, 7:30 P.M., The Dreamland
Because who doesn’t dream about taking a day off from school or work?! This week’s FBF is sure to have you in stitches. Buy your tickets here.
4. Food for Thought Lecture
March 10, 12 – 1 P.M., The Whaling Museum
Join Jason Graziadei and Brenda Johnson of Nantucket Cottage Hospital for a discussion on the latest updates going on at our very own NCH. Don’t forget to bring a (healthy) brown bag lunch!
5. Mitchell’s Book Club: A Little Life
March 10, 6 P.M., Mitchell’s Book Corner
Cristina and Tim of Mitchell’s Book Corner will be hosting a community discussion on one of 2015’s most raved about book, A Little Life, by Hanya Yanagihara. Bring your copy and be ready for a riveting evening that will stretch your mind.
6. Annie Kids
March 11, 5:30 P.M., The Dreamland
It’s opening night of The Dreamland’s Junior Company production of Annie Kids. Starring over 70 Nantucket students between the ages of 6 and 14, this family musical is full of family fun! Can’t make this showing? Catch it March 13 or March 19. Buy your tickets here.
7. Holistic Health Fair
March 12, 10 A.M. – 2 P.M., Bartlett’s Farm
Swing by Bartlett’s Farm’s Hayloft to meet local Nantucket small business owners who want to help you cultivate a healthy lifestyle. Enjoy raffles, healthy food samples, a 10% discount coupon at the Farm, and a cookbook swap!
8. Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang
March 18, 7 P.M., Nantucket High School
Hop on board the magical car at Nantucket High School as they present Richard and Robert Sherman’s classic “Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang.” Tickets are $12 for students and seniors and $15 for adults.
9. March Madness Tournament
March 19, 9 A.M. – 8 P.M., Nantucket Boys & Girls Club
Think you’ve got skills on the court? Grab a team of 3-5 players and sign up for Nantucket’s March Madness Basketball Tourney. $10 per player ages 9 to 18 and $25 per player ages 19 and older. Sign up is available at Nantucket High School Cyrus Peirce Middle School or the Boys & Girls Club.
10. AAN Spring Sweep Preview Party
March 25, 5 – 7 P.M., Cecelia Joyce & Seward Johnson Gallery
The Artists Association of Nantucket presents one of its annual and signature events, Spring Sweep Silent Auction, and you won’t want to miss the preview party. Celebrate the amazing work of our talented community artists and revel in some spring cheer (and the opportunity to place an early bid!)
