2. Nantucket Race Week
Saturday, August 10 – Sunday, August 18

Show your support for Nantucket Community Sailing, an organization that works to provide inexpensive access to sailing to the public, and come out for an exciting nine days of regattas, parties, and award ceremonies! 3. H.E.Art Exhibit
Saturday, August 10
10:00 am – 12:00 pm @ Weezie Library

This one’s for the small fries – local campers have been hard at work creating artwork all summer, and they’re ready for their final exhibit. 4. Pops Double Book Signing with Elin Hilderbrand and Wendy Rouillard

#1 New York Times Bestselling author Elin Hilderbrand and author of Barnaby Bear Books Wendy Rouillard will be at Mitchell’s Book Corner for a joint book signing this Saturday! 5. Nantucket Cottage Hospital’s Boston Pops

Take part in Nantucket’s largest and most popular event all year at the Boston Pops concert! The event has been supporting the Nantucket Cottage Hospital for over two decades and will celebrate the new hospital’s opening. Enjoy tunes from this year’s musical guest, The Spinners, as well as Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra. 6. Nantucket Children’s Charity Classic
Sunday, August 11 – Monday, August 12
@ Nantucket Golf Club

Give back to the community by partaking in a very special golf tournament at the Nantucket Golf Club. The night before the 17th annual tourney kicks off, a dinner and auction will be held with lively entertainment. 7. PrimeTime Lacrosse Nantucket Festival

Primetime Lacrosse is coming back to Nantucket this Sunday for a fun-filled day of 3 v 3 speed lacrosse games. Boys and girls can register as teams of three to six people or individually to compete on U-11 and U-19 teams. For more information and to register, click here. 

 

8. Dreamland Conversations with Nathaniel Philbrick
Monday, August 12

New York Times bestselling author Nathaniel Philbrick will be joining David Gregory for a Dreamland Conversation this Monday. The celebrated author moved to Nantucket in 1986 and has done so much more for the island than just write about it: he was the founding director of Nantucket’s Egan Maritime Institute and is now a research fellow at the Nantucket Historical Association. 9. Autism Speaks Town Hall: Accessing Services Throughout the Lifespan
