8. Memorial Day Parade

Nantucket non-profit Holidays for Heroes is bringing back the true spirit of Memorial Day and want you to be involved! In addition to a wide array of events and raffles, they want you to join the community for a special parade. The processional will wind from Washington Street to South Water Street, up Broad to Federal, and then up Main Street to the Civil War monument before concluding at Prospect Hill Cemetery for a moment of observance. 10. Curling Club Open House

Nantucket’s new Curling Club is holding an open house for anyone who would like to try curling and get a little instruction in this fascinating sport! Come dressed warmly (because, well, you’ll be on the ice) with rubber-soled shoes/sneakers and they’ll supply all other necessary equipment.
