1. Opening Night of TWN’s Matilda

Though she be but little, she is fierce! Roald Dahl’s beloved tale about magical Matilda comes alive on stage this Friday. 2. Nantucket Lightship Basket Museum Annual Yard Sale
Saturday, November 23 – Sunday, November 24
10:00 am – 3:00 pm @ Bartlett’s Farm

It’s the supersized yard sale of the season that you won’t want to miss! Peruse artwork, furniture, lamps, kitchenware, home goods, knick knacks, toys, linens, clothing, outdoor furnishing, tools, and much more. 3. Thinking Thanksgiving – Favorite Starters, Sides, Sweets, and Leftovers

6:30 – 9:30 pm @ Nantucket Culinary Center

The big star of Thanksgiving is of course the turkey, but its co-stars are just as important! Join Sarah Leah Chase as she whips up maple and chipotle spiced pepitas, Nantucket Bay scallop ceviche, sage potato crisps, shredded brussels sprouts, port-glazed shallots and onions, fruited turkey salad with poppyseed vinaigrette, and the crowd favorite: apple pie. 4. Tree of Remembrance Service
Sunday, November 24
4:00 pm @ Garden of the Jared Coffin House

Each year, on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, Palliative & Supportive Care of Nantucket (PASCON) hosts its annual Tree of Remembrance Service to honor loved ones who have passed on. A brief interfaith service will be held, followed by a warm reception indoors. For more information, click here.

 

5. Trivia at Cisco Brewery
Monday, November 25
5:30 – 7:00 pm @ Cisco Brewery

Grab your pals and buff up on your pop culture knowledge, because Cisco Brewers is throwing one heck of a trivia party this Monday night! Enjoy delicious bevies as you and your team are quizzed on a bevy of topics. Prizes will be given out to the top three teams, but all players are sure to have fun. 6. NHA’s Festival of Wreaths Preview Party

Kickoff the holiday season with the Festival of Wreaths Preview Party! This annual Nantucket favorite features artistic wreaths designed by Nantucket locals, a fun silent auction, cocktails and light bites. After the party, the festival runs November 27 – December 1. 7. Donelan Wine Tasting

Whether your plans include a Friendsgiving, Thanksgiving, or something in between, it’s all about enjoying being together. 9. Thanksgiving Buffet Feast
Thursday, November 28
12:00 – 5:00 pm @ Nantucket Hotel

After you’ve warmed up from the Turkey Plunge, dive into a warm and tasty Thanksgiving buffet at the Nantucket Hotel. Enjoy live music from Mollie Glazer, Isaiah Williams, and David Spear as you feast on imported cheeses, red wine poached pear salads, herb-roasted turkey, rosemary mashed potatoes, an array of Thanksgiving pies, and so much more. 10. Opening Night of White Heron Theatre’s A Nantucket Christmas Carol

7:30 pm @ White Heron Theatre

The only reason you’ll be saying “bah, humbug” this season is if you miss A Nantucket Christmas Carol! Charles Dickens’ holiday classic is back with a Nantucket twist: Ebenezer Scrooge as a whaling captain. Performances of this new Nantucket favorite will run through Saturday, December 14.
