Hungry for some inspiration? The Nantucket Community Foundation’s annual grant giving breakfast celebrates the remarkable work being done by a number of nonprofits in our community. After receiving their grant from the Community Foundation, each nonprofit shares their plans for the year to come and ways for you to get involved.
2. Basket Festival & Sale
Friday, December 4, 10 A.M. – 4 P.M., Nantucket Lightship Basket Museum
This annual event features the work of our talented local weavers and museum members, and is a sure fire bet for finding a special and unique gift! Event entrance includes free admission to the museum, weaving demonstrations, and holiday refreshments.
3. Stroll Craft Shows
Friday, December 4 – Saturday, December 5
Looking for the perfect present for a friend or loved one? Look no further. Stroll weekend has big craft shows at the Preservation Trust (Friday & Saturday at 11 Centre Street), St. Mary’s Our Lady of the Isle (Saturday 9 – 2 at 3 Federal Street), and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church (Saturday 9:30 – 2:30 at 20 Fair Street).
4. Annye’s Whole Foods’ Stroll Social

After a successful pop-up this past August, the ladies of N.TUC Marché are back with a special Noel edition pop-up just in time for the holidays! 8. Atheneum Stroll Book Sale

9. Nantucket Winter Run

Looking to squeeze some exercise in between all the festivities this weekend? Sign up for the Nantucket Winter Run, a 5 mile run/walk that will end at the Nantucket Health Club (where post race refreshments will await your return!) 11. Culinary Center Grand Opening

Have you been good all year? Well, it’s time to cash in when good ol’ St. Nick arrives on Nantucket courtesy of a Coast Guard cutter. After parading up Main Street with Mrs. Claus, Santa will be at the Jared Coffin House at 29 Broad Street to hear what you want for Christmas.
15. Nantucket Raw Bar & Winter Whites Tasting
Saturday, December 5, 2 – 4 P.M., Table No. 1
Join Table No. 1 and the “Saving Shellfish Stroll Team” for a special Stroll wine tasting and oyster sampling! What’s more, 10% of all wine purchased at Table No. 1 during Stroll weekend will go to the Town’s Natural Resources Department in supporting the Brant Point Shellfish Hatchery renovations and initiatives. 16. The Nutcracker
Saturday, December 5, 3 P.M., The Dreamland Theatre
The talented students of Nantucket Ballet will transport audiences to the land of sugar plum fairies in this family-friendly interpretation of a beloved holiday classic. 17. The Nantucket Hotel Gives bACK

This Stroll weekend, The Nantucket Hotel’s Breeze Restaurant is giving bACK to the local community…and serving up delicious dishes and drinks at the same time! Celebrate around the cozy fire pits on Saturday while enjoying music from Sean Lee and 20% of proceeds from 3 – 5:30 P.M. will go to benefit the Nantucket Atheneum. But that’s not all! A suggested $15 donation at the door will go to the Nantucket Food Pantry and the Robin Harvey Scholarship Fund.
