4. Closing Night: Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

Find out what’s so scary about the big bad Virginia Woolf at the Theatre Workshop’s final performance of Edward Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf. 5. Interwoven Stories: Community Kick-Off

Piece together your favorite Nantucket experiences in a collaborative one-year stitching and textile project, “Interwoven Stories.” Each participant will receive a free kit to create their personalized embroidered page, adding to the community-wide celebration of creativity, self-expression, and storytelling. 6. Manhattan Short Film Festival

The 20th annual Manhattan Short Film Festival kicks off Sunday night for six nights of ten films screened in more than 250 venues across the globe. 7. AAN Pop-Up Exhibit
Wednesday, October 4 – Saturday, October 7
10 A.M. @ Mitchell-Andrews Fish House

The historic worlds of art and fishing collide this Wednesday as the AAN presents a pop-up exhibit at one of the oldest intact fish houses at 4 Old North Wharf. Built after Nantucket’s Great Fire of 1846, the Mitchell-Andrews Fish House will host a unique collection of oils, watercolors, and woodcuts by both local and visiting artists.



8. Film for Thought: Before the Flood
Wednesday, October 4
6:30 P.M. @ The Dreamland

The storm against climate change is brewing and Leonardo DiCaprio is prepared to fight in Before the Flood. This documentary look at the catastrophic damage of climate change follows DiCaprio through talks with President Obama, Pope Francis, Elon Musk, and the United Nations, demanding a greater and more immediate call for action. 9. Baroque Dinner

7:30 P.M. @ Nantucket Culinary Center

Spätzle, stolen, and schnitzel, oh my! Chef Greg Margolis of the Nantucket Culinary Center will explore German cuisine in a delightfully decadent dinner paired with wine. In celebration of the Nantucket Arts Festival, the Baroque Dinner serves as the finale to the 5th annual Nantucket Baroque concert at St. Paul’s featuring an ensemble of local and guest musicians.
