1. Community Haunted House
Friday, October 30 || 5 – 8 P.M. || Nantucket Boys & Girls Club
The Nantucket Boys & Girls Club and the Nantucket Fire Department are teaming up for the first annual Community Haunted House this year. Swing by the club for games and a good scare! And for the youngsters in the bunch who aren’t up for too much spookiness, 5-6pm is the time to go. This event is free to the public.
2. Nantucket Bookworks Grand reOpening Celebration
Friday, October 30 & Saturday, October 31 || Nantucket Bookworks
They’re BACK! Island institution, Nantucket Bookworks, will re-open this weekend with a special celebration chock full of prizes, treats, ackfresh juice samples and much, much more. Don’t forget to swing by on Saturday between 4-6pm for their Halloween costume contest!
3. Yoga at Greater Light

Before you dive into a day of candy eating, we suggest starting out with a little morning yoga with Dorothy Stover as part of NHA and Dharma Yoga’s Greater Light program. All skill levels are welcome and pre-registration is highly recommended be contacting jhorton@nha.org.
4. Botanical Prints with Bee Shay

Looking for a new fall/winter pastime? Join Bee Shay at Bartlett’s Farm as she gives instruction on making your own botanical prints. While you’re there, enjoy coffee/tea and some delicious farm-baked treats, as well as a 10% off coupon for the day!
5. Annual Halloween Parade
Saturday, October 31 || 5 P.M. || Downtown
The ghosts and ghouls will be out and about on Main Street for Nantucket’s annual Halloween parade! With Nantucket store owners opening their doors and doling out candy, this event truly encompasses the whole community. Think your costume has what it takes? Head to the Methodist Church lawn at 4:30pm for a pre-parade costume contest.
6. Boowery Bash
Saturday, October 31 || 4:30 – 7 P.M. || Cisco Brewers
The Ethan Parker Band will hit the Brewery stage for a special Halloween show this weekend. Their newest album, “To The Sea,” is a blend of folk, blues and jazzy beach music. So throw on your costume, grab a Pumple Drumkin, and enjoy!

9. Food for Thought: Eric Savetsky

Photographer/videographer Eric Savetsky is next up in the NHA’s Food for Thought series. Conveniently held in the Whaling Museum, Eric’s talk will focus on the feeding, birthing, mating, and fasting seasons of the humpback whale. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to see his stunning underwater photography.
