Friday, October 28
5 – 7 P.M. @ Nantucket Boys & Girls Club

Join the Nantucket Boys & Girls Club and the Nantucket Fire Department for their annual Community Halloween Party. Get ready for a haunted house, games and prizes, and other activities for all ages. Note that the 5 – 6 P.M. slot will cater to younger children and those who don’t want quite the same level of heebie-jeebies as others (but don’t fret, for those of you who like a good scare they will be amping up the fear factor from 6 – 7 P.M.) Admission is free.

Wondering what the future has in store for you? Swing by the Atheneum for a quick tarot reading with Kathy Richen and ask the cards that burning question that’s been on your mind lately. This event is free and open to all.

Saturday, October 29
5 P.M. – Close @ Topper’s

Topper’s at The Wauwinet is celebrating its final night of the season with a special trick-or-treat dinner (although we think there’ll be many more treats than tricks). Diners will be able to pick a special discount out of the cauldron at the end of their meal to receive anywhere from 30-50% off their evening and one special table will receive a free meal for two and a bottle of wine picked out by the sommelier. Benedict Cumberbatch, who was recognized with the Critics’ Circle Theatre Awards’ Best Performance by an Actor in a Play distinction, will knock your socks off as he stars as Creature in National Theatre Live’s Danny Boyle production of Frankenstein. Head to the cobblestones this Halloween for Nantucket’s annual parade. Think your costume makes the cut? Be sure to be at the Methodist Church at 2 Centre Street at 4:30 P.M. and let the judges decide before you strut your stuff down Main Street.

Wednesday, November 2
5:30 – 8 P.M. @ Bartlett’s Farm

This one is for you, ladies! Kick off the holiday season with a fun night of shopping at the farm while supporting Housing Nantucket. Note that this annual event has moved from the grocery into the garden center greenhouse to allow for even more space for the dozens of vendors so you can shop local. There will be festive drinks and tasty treats, a Chinese auction and more.
