4. Documentary Film: Rising Tides with Dr. Sarah Oktay

Coastal communities are in a current battle against vanishing shorelines as a result of the impacts of climate change and rising seas. Join former UMass Boston Nantucket Field Station director, Dr. Sarah Oktay, as she presents the film Rising Tides and leads a discussion about possible solutions for coastline erosion. 5. Interwoven Stories

The Nantucket Stitching Gam, Interwoven Stories, is a yearlong community project that encourages participants to create an embroidered narrative that illustrates an aspect of their Nantucket experience. The finished works of all participants will be displayed as an exhibit at the 2018 Nantucket Arts Festival, Sept. 28 – Oct. 8. 6. Summer Concert Series in the Barn

Summer Concert Series is the first event of the season for the Almanack Arts Colony (AAC). Reed Foehl and Stewart Lewis, famous for their songwriting, storytelling and musicianship, have prepared a unique music experience for everyone who loves intimate performances.
