Current Court Report – December 8, 2021

This week’s Current court report includes dispositions from the District Court sessions held on Monday and Tuesday. Sessions will be held today, Thursday, and Friday, and all arraignments/dispositions from these sessions will be included in next week’s court report.

Diane R. Bastarache, 60, of Montana, pleaded guilty to a May 21, 2019 charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. She was ordered to pay a $500 fine and forfeit her license for one year. All other fees were remitted by district court Judge Thomas S. Barrett.

A June 25, 2019 charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle will be continued without a finding for six months against Piper Carroll, 52, of Nantucket. She was ordered to pay a $250 head-injury fee, $50 victim-witness fee, and $50 per month in probation fees. A charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol stemming from the same incident was dismissed.

An Oct. 23 charge of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol will be continued without a finding for one year against Joel Adames Bonilla, 36, of Nantucket. Bonilla was ordered to complete a driver alcohol education program, forfeit his license for 45 days, pay a $250 program fee, $250 head-injury fee, $50 OUI assessment fee, $50 victim-witness fee, and $65 per month in probation fees. A negligent operation of a motor vehicle charge stemming from the same incident was dismissed.

Christine Holdgate, 57, of Nantucket, was found not guilty in a jury trial Monday afternoon on Sept. 27, 2019 charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and resisting arrest.

An Aug. 12 charge of leaving the scene of property damage will be continued without a finding for one year against Francesca Karlson, 41, of Nantucket. She was ordered to pay $50 per month in probation fees.

An Oct. 18, 2020 charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle will be continued without a finding for one year against Marvin Olds, 60, of Nantucket. He was ordered to pay a $250 head-injury fee, $50 victim-witness fee, and $50 per month in probation fees.
