NMF: Harrison Roach

Harrison Roach is a singer/songwriter known for melodic pop ballads with hints of rock, blues, and ambient sounds. According to Roach, “I started a career in songwriting after a short stay at Berklee College Of Music. I went to study Jazz, but it wasn’t clicking in anymore… so after randomly attending a songwriting clinic, I realized that’s what I wanted to do. I immediately began writing songs and dropped out of Berklee to move to NY and start performing.” He recorded his first EP, All These Things, in 2010. In the making of the album he collaborated with musicians who have played with John Mayer and the Tedeschi Trucks Band.

Against the odds in a city without mercy, Roach’s musicianship won the acclaim of Ireland’s WLR FM Radio which named it an “Album of the Week,” and the songs “Find Me” and “All These Things” were used by MTV in the hit show “Friendzone.” Harrison Roach has performed at the Starlight Café on Nantucket as well as the Cisco Brewery and looks forward extending his live performances on-island.
