EMERITUS: MADEQUECHAM

Written By: Emme Duncan | Photography By: Stacy Braga

When Matt MacEachern and his team at Emeritus were given the opportunity to work on this recently-purchased Madequecham property, they jumped at the chance. The home, which initially started as a beach shack, morphed beautifully into stunning three-bedroom home. Emeritus worked to ensure that the fun and casual beach cottage feel was not lost, and what now stands is a clean, contemporary-style home with interior details that are crisp, simple, casual and timeless. The home itself has an incredible tripartite massing scheme that creates a seamless one-story home that allows for cathedral ceilings in all rooms. Emeritus also maximized the fenestration on the ocean facing side of the house making for stunning ocean views. Of special note is the loft, which creates a fun and interesting option for overflow guests and creates additional livable space without adding rooms.
