DINNER DUETS

What do chefs Chris Anderson of Nashville, Sam Mason and Mohan Kumar of Brooklyn, and Jeremy Sewall of Boston have in common? Besides having a Michelin Star and multiple James Beard nominations among them, all will be cooking up something special at Greydon House this fall as part of their newly announced Duet Dinner Series. Working alongside Greydon House’s own Chef Marcus Gleadow-Ware, these chefs-in-residence – chosen for their unique flare and personality – will each curate a six-course tasting menu guaranteed to transport you to another world and have you booking flights to their respective cities for an encore.

First up? Chef Chris Anderson and head mixologist Megan Cross of Nashville’s Hutton Hotel 1808 Grille will be bringing a taste of the south right here to the island on October 6 and 7. The first chef to earn a Michelin Star with a southern-influenced tasting menu, Anderson will be serving up Onion Bisque, Halibut with bacon parmigiana Reggiano and pear, and other mouth-watering bites straight from Music City. In describing his style as “southern charm,” Chef Anderson says diners can expect “memory-inducing familiar flavors [brought] together with masterful technique, unique ingredients, and exquisite plating.”

On October 27 and 28, join chefs Sam Mason and Mohan Kumar of Brooklyn’s acclaimed OddFellows Ice Cream Co. for an inventive and outside-the-box meal that is sure to ignite your senses. Teaming up with this delicious duo and crafting creative cocktails will be Jim Kearns of New York City’s Slowly Shirley and Happiest Hour.

Rounding out the fall line-up is Boston chef Jeremy Sewall of Island Creek Oyster Bar, Row 34, and Les Sablons fame, who will be taking the helm with Chef Gleadow-Ware November 10 and 11. Guests will no doubt enjoy an evening that celebrates the best of New England bounty, and to top it off, The Hawthorne’s Jackson Cannon – also the mastermind behind Greydon House’s cocktail list – will be behind the bar whipping up Nantucket-inspired drinks paired perfectly with each dish.

So if you’re looking for a chance to expand your palate with a once-in-a-lifetime dining experience this fall, don’t bother booking a Cape Air flight. Greydon House is bringing some of the world’s best chefs right here to our backyard and all you have to do is make a reservation! For an island already celebrated for its fine dining, the Grey Lady is about to be even more mouthwatering.

Reservations for these destination dinners are limited and can be made by calling 508-228-2468.
